I don't like this waking up at 8 every day for tennis. And tomorrow it'll be 7, since practice is an hour earlier. On a Saturday. Yup.
Ms. Paul is still being cryptic about everything except that Marie (a sophomore who was 3rd last year) has a singles spot. Marie managed to beat Beth on Wednesday, so we played yesterday and I won 2 and 2. And then I played Beth (who has rather bad tennis elbow) today and beat her 3 and 1. (I'm so evil.) Today I was tired around 4, thoguh and sort of dozed off until the phone rang. Instead of practicing sax and instead of doing college stuff. I'm so lazy.
Other than tennis, a few other things have been going on. Dad's let me borrow his car since this past weekend, and now I have it until the end of Tuesday. I never realized how useful a second car is (though I haven't had to gas it up yet--premium, oy!) but we'll have to go back to living with just one for the time being. How will we ever survive!? (Note the sarcasm.) But--but--yesterday we went to the Toyota dealership and now Mom's buying a Prius. Quite exciting (and it doesn't need premium, or much gas at all for that matter). Then Barnes and Noble, where I finally spent my gift card (and added a few more to the teetering stack of books-to-read in my room), and then I drove with Val to Nyack to have dinner with Dad and the grandparents. I had a little trouble figuring out how to get over Route 17, but other than that, nothing exciting. 'Twas kind of annoying dealing with Grandma's questions about Madison, though. And Mom's today, for that matter. They all want to know why we broke up, but even though I can't pin down an exact reason, it was the right thing to do. A male friend is a lot less stressful than a boyfriend, but for some reason I don't feel like explaining that to my mother.
Let's see, what else? Tomorrow I'm going to the city to see Baruch, so that should be fun. But first, tennis practice at 8 am. Hurrah!

Hope volleyball is going well! Much as I complain, I love my team, as I'm sure you do yours.

And Neha's suggestions of responses made me laugh; I can't imagine you saying that to an elder.
